Take Take a Cha-Chance

I frequently get songs stuck in my head, and usually it irritates me. However, today I decided to give in to it and see what would happen. See, last week's episode of "The Office" had a great scene with Andy asking Angela out by singing "Take a Chance on Me" to her - it was probably my favorite part of the episode. Then, I was in a store this week and heard ABBA's version of the same song playing in the background. After that, the song was stuck in my head. So, I decided to download it on iTunes. And let me tell you, it still cracks me up! (My favorite is the opening with the backing vocals singing "take a chance, take a chance, take take a cha-chance...") So far I've listened to it 12 or 13 times today, and I'm not tired of it yet.

I have to tell you that is one of my FAVORITE songs!!! First of all I just love ABBA! Second, I have a great memory with my dad where we were cruising around in his truck with that song BLARING- he likes it too. MY favorite line is:

"If you change your mind, I'll be first in line. Honey, I'm still free- take a chance on me."

Classic!

oh my gosh :) That part of the episode cracked me up. Beth and I were quite impressed with it. When I saw it on your last.fm I wondered if the Office was the inspiration for that song :)

Very cool :)

I love that song, too! There is a really cool 80s band called Erasure who covers a few ABBA songs, including that one. You should check it out!

I'm cracking up at how we are all communicating with you on your blog post even though we all get to see you at least once or twice a week :-) Welcome to the computer age...

I'm GLAD people are commenting on my blog post - and that everyone is sharing the ABBA love. (And just FYI, the song is still constantly in my head.)

Yeah, it's been in my head constantly too... with the new "no music" policy here I'm sure I've been annoying those walking by the office b/c I'm constantly humming it :)
